KATIE ARMIGER’S NEW SINGLE “KISS ME NOW” LANDS ON THE BILLBOARD COUNTRY SINGLES
CHART
February 19, 2010
– Rising country artist Katie Armiger’s new single “Kiss Me Now” has landed on
the Billboard Country Singles Chart at #57 and at #50 on Music Row. This is
Katie’s first single to chart on Billboard and has already gained an
enthusiastic response from fans and radio alike dubbing it Katie’s best song to
date. “Kiss Me Now” is the first single from Katie’s forthcoming third album on
Cold River Records.
The reviews are
in and it’s no surprise that “Kiss Me Now” has landed on the Billboard Charts.
“Katie has a great thing in this song -
Relatable real music with real lyrics is the perfect combination for success,”
said Digital Rodeo. “”Kiss Me Now," is fun,
up-tempo and a touch flirtatious…this is her finest single yet,” said All
Access. “"Kiss Me Now" shows a tremendous growth in her
writing and allows for her fun, lighthearted side to come out,” said Today’s
Country Magazine.
“Kiss Me Now” was
written by Katie along with Lyric
Street recording artist Sarah Buxton and
well-known Nashville
songwriter Blair Daly who has worked with some of country music’s biggest names
including Rascal Flatts, Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, and Keith Urban. Since Billboard began keeping archives on the Country
Indicator chart in the summer of 2006, Katie has logged two top 40 entries on
that list, including “Unseen,” which is the highest rank for a title exclusive
to the Country Indicator chart since 2006.
The up-tempo
“Kiss Me Now” clearly showcases Katie’s growth not only as a lyricist but as a
vocalist. The video for the single, which was recorded in Dallas, TX,
will premiere on GAC and CMT next week.
